Album: Kammermusik

"Kammermusik" (chamber music) is Spannocchi's first new studio album in five years after his success with "Perihelion" in 2021. With "Kammermusik" Spannocchi explores his childhood growing up in Vienna exposed to classical music and shows how his professional life in the British metropolis London makes its mark with a modern cosmopolitan sound as well as musical reference informed by his experiences and impressions of extensive touring. "Kammermusik" features long term collaborator and cellist Danny Keane (Grammy nominated composer and sideman of Anoushka Shankar, Mulatu Astatke e.a.) as well as Milan born London based Andea Di Biase on bass (Kenny Wheeler's sideman) and London Philharmonia solo percussionist James Larter on vibraphone and tubular bells.
