The submission phase has now been completed. 198 projects and 683 artists applied for the three categories "Live Act", "Album" and "Newcomer" and/or entered them in the "Directory of Austrian Music Projects with a Jazz Connection since 2022". From 1st to 15th of September, 82 experts will now collectively determine 10 nominees per category by awarding points. Afterwards, a small, top-class jury will decide on the winners. These will be heard on 5th of December as part of the award ceremony at Porgy & Bess. You can continue to enter your name in the "directory". We invite everyone to surf through the colorful diversity of the Austrian jazz scene on the website www.jazzpreis.at via the menu item ACTS or via "Projects", "Artists" and "Submissions" and to listen to and look through the abundance of productions of the last 2 1/2 years. Thanks to excellent employees, all projects are very appealing and clearly prepared. The long-term goal of the initiative is to contribute to increasing the visibility of the high-quality Austrian jazz and world music scene.
