On the occasion of the 2nd presentation of the Austrian Jazz Awards on 26.11.2025 at Casino Velden, the Austrian Music Council invites you to a press conference on behalf of all cooperation partners and sponsors on 21.05.2025 at 11 a.m. in the Jazz & Musicclub Porgy & Bess.
Austria has a very lively jazz and world music scene. In order to pay more public attention to the creative musicians, the Austrian Music Council (ÖMR), together with mica-music austria, the Ö1 Jazz editorial team, IG World Music, was able to secure funding for a new Austrian Jazz Awards from the Federal Ministry of Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport, the City of Vienna and the Province of Carinthia. Other sponsors are: Jam Music Lab Privatuniversität and Romedius GmbH.

Last year, the Austrian Jazz Awards 2024 focused on outstanding artists who inspired the audience with their projects and musical visions. The gala at the renowned Porgy & Bess provided a worthy setting for the award ceremony for E C H O B O O M E R (Album 2024: Timeless Warrior), Yvonne Moriel (Newcomer of the Year 2024) and Synesthetic4 (Live Act of the Year 2024). The winners' contributions left a lasting impression. This year, the stage will once again become a platform for musical excellence and creative diversity.
