With his album “everything has led us to this moment,” composer Roviró uniquely bridges the worlds of jazz and classical music. Originally written for the 2025 Zawinul Prize, the piece features a rare tentet lineup that pairs a jazz quintet with a classical woodwind quintet.
Musically, Roviró merges influences from classical giants like Igor Stravinsky and Arvo Pärt with jazz icons such as Brad Mehldau, Wayne Shorter, and Hermeto Pascoal into a distinct artistic voice. Conceptually, the album explores the depth of human experience, fate, and memory.
