E C H O BOOMER is a project founded in 2017 by Beate Wiesinger.Originally a term from sociology describing the generation of people born between 1970 and 1990, the term here is understood as follows: e c h o boomer is a workshop for composition and improvisation, a kind of base camp for ideas, and above all, a laboratory for diverse music and ensembles. The current lineup is the first result of this "workshop" and musically unites a love for large ensembles, improvisation, and songs. Additionally, this band brings together musicians who have accompanied Beate Wiesinger for a long time. Finely composed sound surfaces, "song"-like layered compositions, and complex rhythmic structures, while not lacking a certain clarity, are integral components of this music.
