Dressed in Edelweiss (Blind Rope Records, May 2026) is Moritz Gamper's second album and his first multilingual one: English, South Tyrolean dialect, French and Italian stand side by side as equals. Blues and jazz form the foundation, folk and chanson the storytelling. Voice and acoustic guitar carry it all, framed by double bass, trumpet, accordion and blues harp — recorded live in the room, with open arrangements and space to improvise. Nothing is smoothed over. The edelweiss reinvents itself here: less alpine folklore, more jazz club. South Tyrol is not a backdrop but an identity — in the language, the sound and the character of these eleven songs. A homecoming without nostalgia, turning alpine roots and international influence into a voice of its own.
