The APQ (2008*) is clearly dedicated to its own compositions in the stylistics of Modern Jazz and Latin Jazz. In addition to recent pieces, the continuous examination of the now firmly anchored in the repertoire brings new facets into play with each performance. The classical jazz quartet with Gert Kolaja (ts/ss/comp.), Andreas Plank (p/comp.), Karl Sayer (bs/comp.) and Klaus Zalud (dr) presented the CD “Now!” in 2012 in the Strengen Kammer at Porgy & Bess in Vienna. Timed to coincide with this, there was a feature by Andreas Felber, another by Christian Bakonyi. In 2020, at the invitation of echt.kultur, a streaming concert on demand (HD) could be realized, and in June 2024 participation at the “Jazz Im Park” festival in St. Pölten.
