'Blessed & Bewitched', recorded at Bunker Studio in New York City, is Maja Jaku’s latest all-original contemporary jazz album exploring the emotional and spiritual dimensions of jazz through expressive improvisation, lyrical storytelling, and modern harmonic language.
Featuring an international ensemble with Johnathan Blake, Adrian Varady, Michael Rodriguez, Alan Bartus, and Dezron Douglas, the project brings together deeply interactive musicianship with a strong personal artistic vision. Rooted in jazz tradition while embracing vulnerability, soulfulness, and contemporary expression, the album reflects Maja Jaku’s distinctive voice as performer, composer, and educator within the Austrian and international jazz scene.
