Karin Bachner & The Pocket Big Band

Karin Bachner, one of the Austria's most brilliant jazz voices, presents a swinging homage to Ella Fitzgerald with her top-class Pocket Big Band. Inspired by Ella Fitzgerald's band "Ella & Her Savoy Eight", this project was created around Jazz Fest Wien Vocal Award winner Karin Bachner and top musicians from the Austrian jazz scene. The German tenor player, composer and arranger Tobias Hoffmann has ingeniously arranged the essence of this music for the compact four horn instrumentation of the Pocket Big Band without diminishing the big band listening experience.
