Chez Fría offers a musical discourse inspired by state-of-the-art jazz, contemporary and electronic music, with woven-in themes from Hildegard von Bingen, Anton Webern, and Johann Sebastian Bach a.o.. Sometimes in the foreground, sometimes subtly shining through. It is a project that explores the essence of diverse music genres, resulting in our characteristic Chez Fría sound. In our compositions, the styles blend, contrast, and influence each other. Another focus of our concept is on improvisation. Here, everyone brings their own unique collection of specialties: from historical improvisational art around 1600 to spaced-out soundscapes.
