Mehdi Chamma, a multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer-songwriter from Morocco, draws inspiration from a wide range of music. He grew up in North Africa, immersed in it´s rich musical culture, where he was exposed to a diverse range of genres, including gnawa music, blues, jazz, rock, and Arabic oriental music. His unique warm guitar and guembri tone, original music and lyrics define his musical universe.
Mehdi´s musical voyage developed between 2006 and 2018, when he worked as a sideman of various accomplished artists from different music genres from countries like Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Turkey, Congo, France, USA and Austria.
