Tini Trampler & Playbackdolls create music with a wide variety of local and international influences. Their musical orientation spans an axis between Berlin, Paris, and New Orleans, with strong leanings towards south- and central American music. However, there is also room for ragtime, vaudeville, blues, Balkan styles, Viennese influences, and reggae.
In the meticulously crafted arrangements for a seven-piece ensemble, space is given for both instrumental and vocal improvisation.
Held together by Tini Trampler's versatile and distinctive voice, the musical textures condense into poetic and political chansons.
