Projekt Beschreibung

In his debut as a bandleader, Styrian saxophonist Florian Supancic, supported by long-time international collaborators, leads an octet for the first time. The group's debut album, "Isolation," is deeply rooted in personal experiences and emotions, exploring themes such as depression, loneliness, and the subtle humor found within these seemingly melancholic subjects. The music seeks to balance structured arrangements with free improvisation and a strong focus on interplay, drawing on a variety of stylistic influences beyond the traditional boundaries of "jazz music."
