Colores - Colours, that's not just the band's name, but the motto that stands over the versatile music of Eldis La Rosa. Apparent musical contrasts that come together to form a harmonious whole. Eldis La Rosa & Colores is rooted in both black jazz and Cuban music and incorporates a whole host of world music influences. From Cuba to Bulgaria, Tunisia and Austria to Taiwan.
The colours in their music are also created by the line-up of this musically multilingual quartet and by their open-mindedness towards the new and the unknown. Eldis La Rosa & Colores bridge the gap between jazz and world music like few others, transcend stylistic and music genre boundaries and can teach us about tolerant and harmonious coexistence.
