Emiliano's new album Life is the most personal and mature statement of his big band work to date. The compositions were written over the past few years, evolving and maturing before being captured in this recording for the first time. Each piece opens a window into a different phase of his life: "Life keeps surprising me, and that is exactly what I wanted to share through this music." The compositions evoke memories of special moments, challenges, and the people who have accompanied and inspired him along the way.
The music on LIFE is diverse and vibrant, combining poetic soundscapes, vocals, and rock-infused elements: music straight from the heart. Released on the renowned ORF label as part of the Ö1 Jazz Contemporary series, the album presents Sampaio's latest compositions.
