The scientific name of an octopus species gave the band Eledone its name. And just like the body of an octopus, in Eledone three hearts are beating: Jonas Kastenhuber, Alex Matheis and Jakob Gschwandtner form a trio with an individual sound consisting of piano, electric bass and drums.
Similarly to these wondrous sea creatures, the formation moves at times with graceful lightness, sometimes with pure power, combining influences from a wide variety of genres and styles. Their "acoustic fusion" reveals echoes of rock, pop or minimal music, with the emotional emphasis of soul always being present.
