Nina Reiter "MetaLogue" - The music of Mani Planzer

"MetaLogue" is the newly formed large ensemble of singer and composer Nina Reiter. For the album "evolving" released in 2024, Reiter rearranged the music of Lucerne composer Mani Planzer for the unusual line-up of her ensemble (vocals, five wind instruments, guitar, harp, electric bass, and drums). Additionally, she wrote lyrics for the formerly instrumental compositions. The program ranges from avant-garde compositions, whose free improvisations are based on the handwritten original scores, to newly orchestrated organ pieces that draw on Planzer's musical background as a church musician, to vamp-based Big Band compositions.
