Luisa Muhr is an experimental vocalist and interdisciplinary artist, active as a performer, improviser, installation and sound artist, composer, and director. She is a member of the improv band PlayField (577 Records, NY) and the Dilate Ensemble. Muhr has received commissions from the Austrian Cultural Forum New York and Roulette Intermedium, where her work "Babəl" premiered in 2021. She has collaborated with Daniel Carter, Shelley Hirsch, William Parker, John Zorn, and Claire Chase. Highlights include projects like "Du musst es dreimal sagen" (2024, Volkstheater Vienna/Rote Bar), sound installations such as "Go-to-Shapes" and "Stoff Stuk" (2021 and 2020, Austrian Cultural Forum NY), and her solo album "TEUFLIN/SHE-DEVIL" (2024, Boomslang Records).
