ELMO NERO was founded in 2022 by Gina Schwarz and Christoph Helm. The following year, the exceptional bassist, composer, and Hans-Koller Prize winner, and the guitarist, who virtuosically combines various streams of popular music on his instrument, released their debut album, which was enthusiastically received by critics and audiences alike
Since last year, Chris Parker, who moved from the USA to Vienna in 2023, has been heard on drums – his multi-layered playing perfectly complements the dynamic, style-open, and democratic sound of this "leaderless" band. The recently recorded second studio album documents the trio’s continuous development and sets another strong statement brimming with musical surprises!
