Projekt Beschreibung
For the Austrian band Unorthodox Radio, the name says it all: Poppy melodies that could have come from the radio are given unorthodox arrangements. Inspired by the genres R'n'B, Pop and Jazz, they integrate rousing grooves, improvised solos, interesting harmonies and catchy melodies into their compositions. Thematically, the songs reflect the emotional world of singer Michaela Fröhlich. Together with Armin Jambor on saxophone, Benjamin Foris on keys, Hrvoje Kralj on bass and Gregor Spener on drums, Unorthodox Radio is complete. Together, the five musicians create multi-faceted and genre-defying pop songs that can be heard on their debut album “Broadcasting” in the form of a radio show, which they presented on June 7th, 2024 as part of a CD release show at Orpheum Graz.
