Album: Where I Go

Where I Go is the debut album by 24-year-old musician Elena Schäfer. For the recording, a new band was assembled in 2025, comprised of renowned musicians from the Viennese music scene. Besides Elena Schäfer (vocals, guitar, composition), the ensemble includes Alexander Vounelakos (piano), Matti Felber (drums), Viktoria Kirilova (double bass), and Michael Marginter (saxophone). Valerie Costa, Sarah Machac, and Tillmann Risse also contribute backing vocals on some tracks. Sonically, her music ranges from ethereal, melancholic melodies to energetic passages, representing a sound that has evolved over the past few years through her exploration of various genres.
