Album: UNBEMANNTES RAUMSCHIFF

When Purple is the Color was invited to become the Stageband at Porgy&Bess for the 2024/25 season, we decided to create nine completely different concert programs. This process sparked an abundance of new music and made it clear that it was time for a new album. Since Epic (2020), we have grown both as musicians and as people, and our sound has become more organic. Recorded live at Wavegarden Studio, Unbemanntes Raumschiff captures the energy of the moment rather than perfection. The title reflects both vastness and loneliness, while also echoing our era’s fascination with escaping into space—and the question of where that journey ultimately leads.
