Album: "r"

On the debut album of the band Olive Grove we hear original compositions by bassist Oliver Steger. The line-ups are varied: some instrumental pieces with guests Lorenz Raab (flgh.), Nikolaos Afentulidis (ss., ts.), some songs with lyrics or spoken word (lyrics: Franziska Katzlinger), but we also find a trio piece and a bass solo piece on this album. Olive Grove combines contemporary songwriting and contemporary grooves with jazz improvisations. The structure and melody of the songs have their origins in the classic song structures of the Great American Songbook.
