Album: proud

To mark the release of her debut album “PROUD”, Mel*E deliberately poses the concept of pride as an open question: both on a personal and a societal level – caught between self-empowerment and the conflicting expectations often associated with it. In Mel*E’s music, pride manifests itself as an attitude expressed through sound: self-assured and multi-layered. Distinctive melodies, precise beats and a powerful low end create a punchy, danceable sound. Viola Hammer (synth), Judith Ferstl (double bass/bass synth) and Judith Schwarz (extended drum kit) forge a unique band sound with high recognition value, which comes into its own both on the album and in live performances.
