Five years after "Wanting Machine," Viennese jazz guitar professor Peter Rom delivers a decidedly unprofessorial follow-up album in LP length. Noodling is strictly forbidden; the nine tracks, some with a delicately cartoonish quality, are characterized by concise structures, distinct rhythms, and a unique sonic character, with trumpet, saxophone, theremin, and other instruments occasionally expanding the classic trio format (guitar, bass, drums).
