Liveact: Upper Austrian Jazz Orchestra

During the observation period, the UAJO performed 16 concerts featuring 5 different programs. These included “Saltchambermusic for Jazz Orchestra,” composed by band members; “Beatles Upside-Down” with Mats Holmquist; “Jazz Classics and Songs” featuring Ali Gaggl and her compositions, arranged by the UAJO; a program with Ed Piuddick and Mike Gibbs, arrangers from Wletruf; and a program specially designed for the Bad Goisern Big Band Workshop. With “Saltchambermusic,” the UAJO presents its 15th recording in its 33-year history. A distinctive feature in the creation of new programs is the concept of presenting the orchestra’s musicians also as composers and arrangers.
