Newcomer: Mira Gregorič

Mira Gregorič, born in Carinthia, ​​is a jazz violinist, rhythmist and music teacher. She began playing the violin at the age of four and completed a bachelor's degree in music and movement pedagogy/rhythmics in Vienna in 2018 and a master's degree in jazz and improvised music - violin in Linz in 2021. Mira is active in various formations, including Duo Sonoma, GMC and Pia Denz Oktett. She released albums with Duo Sonoma in 2021 and 2024. Her work was funded in 2022 with the BMKOES Starter Scholarship for Music. In 2024 she received the Carinthian State Music Prize and is in the NASOM program 2025/2026 with Duo Sonoma. In addition to her musical activity, she also participates in various educational and interdisciplinary art projects.
