Lukas Gabric has performed and given masterclasses worldwide. He is the only Austrian semifinalist ever in the Thelonious Monk Competition. Gabric won Best Soloist and Audience Choice Awards at Spain's Getxo Jazz Festival, received the Bruno Gironcoli Award, and was a finalist in the North American Saxophone Alliance Competition. Honored with the American Society for Composers and Publisher’s Herb Alpert Award, he has taught at Juilliard and The City College of New York. A Selmer and D’Addario Artist, Gabric has authored method books and musicological articles, holds a Ph.D. in Musicology and a post-graduate artist diploma from Juilliard, and has received nearly half a million USD in scholarships. His discography includes the GRAMMY-nominated album "Derek Bermel: Migrations" (Naxos, 2019).
