Martín Iaies is an Argentine guitarist, composer and bandleader based in Vienna. After moving to Austria in 2019, he completed master’s degrees in Jazz Guitar and Jazz Composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, where he developed his work as a composer and ensemble leader. His music combines contemporary jazz with elements of Argentine and Latin American music, drawing on his experience between two musical cultures. With three albums as a leader and an expanding presence in Austria’s jazz scene, Iaies is establishing a distinctive voice as a guitarist, composer and bandleader.
