Newcomer: Max Plattner

According to Der Standard, Max Plattner has „a unique voice on his instrument“ and impresses „with his artistic vision and authenticity“; UK Jazz News names him one of the „young shooting stars of Austrian jazz“. The award-winning drummer, composer and producer (including Outreach Young Masters Scholarship and TonArt Tirol Jazz Award) moves between jazz, improvisation, electronics and interdisciplinary formats. Through projects such as Max Plattner Trio, PLOY, Fudge Summer, Nageem and Hamel | Plattner, he develops his own concepts. Nominated for the Austrian Jazz Award in 2024 and 2025, he has performed at Saalfelden Jazz Festival, Jazzfest Berlin and Jazztopad Wrocław, works on film projects and collaborated with Andrea Motis, David Helbock, Fabian Rucker and Pauli Lyytinen.
