Newcomer: Victoria Pfeil

Victoria Pfeil, born in Upper Austria, is a saxophonist and composer living in Vienna. She received the Hubert von Goisern Culture Prize with the band Mamma Fatale. With the trio akk:zent, she took part in the Biberach and Burghausen Jazz Awards and was selected for the 2023/24 NASOM program in the “Jazz” category. With VICTHAMIN, she was nominated as an “Artist to watch” by the English magazine “jazzfuel” and the debut album “triangle” was voted into the top 10 of the jazz year charts by Falter. Victoria Pfeil has played and continues to play saxophone in the Ralph Mothwurf Orchestra, the Janus Ensemble and the Christoph Cech Jazz Orchestra Project (CCJOP). Together with Milly Groz, Gidi Kalchhauser & Paul Wregg, she founded the Gedankenreiseorchester, which plays jazzy participatory con
