Newcomer: Mimi Schmid

Mimi Schmid was born and grew up in tyrol. After finishing school, she moved to Innsbruck to study jazz singing and electric bass at the Tyrolean State Conservatory. Since completing her two studies (2016.17), she has worked as a musician and vocal coach in various formations. In 2018 she qualified for a performance at the 13th Marianne Mendt Festival in St. Pölten. Mimi is currently on tour in Europe with her band Mad About Lemon, which she founded in 2020, together with Manu Delago and is playing on stages such as the North Sea Jazz Festival or Cully Jazz. She also lends her voice to the Innsbruck funk band No Risk No Funk, the jazz trio Soultop, the newcomer band Animõ and the Sam Siefert Ensemble Project.
