Newcomer: Anna Reisigl

Anna Reisigl (BABA) is a bassist and composer living in Vienna. She has been part of the jazz trio Drehwerk since 2016, which has released two albums to date and has been working with the string ensemble inn.wien on a project basis since April 2023. In addition to other projects such as Pia Denz, Lunovi, Flipside Collective and No String Quartet, Reisigl performed as a bass soloist at the Marianne Mendt Festival in 2018. In 2021, Reisigl founded her solo project AR Project, which released its debut album Close Bye in 2023 and won the TAT release of the year. She has also worked with musicians such as Yvonne Moriel, Viola Hammer, Andi Tausch and Anna Mabo. Reisigl received the TonArt Tirol Young Talent Award in 2019 and the Joe Zawinul Prize in 2023.
