Vienna Composers Big Band "First Harvest"

The Vienna Composers Big Band (VCBB), which was formed in 2021 around the two trumpeters Jordi Roviró and Jonas Friesel, is not only a modern, enthusiastic 19-piece big band, but also an international composing collective. With their album "First Harvest", the VCBB presents a versatile and fresh debut. All nine pieces are original compositions by seven different band members. The stylistic diversity ranges from orchestral modern jazz to funk and flamenco. On their release tour through Austria in January 2024, the band presented the album in some of the country's most renowned venues (Porgy & Bess Vienna, Jazzit Salzburg, Stockwerk Graz and Landestheater Linz).
