Goidinger/Matheis Collective

- A composer is a guy who goes around forcing his will on unsuspecting air molecules, often with the assistance of unsuspecting musicians. -Frank Zappa Under this motto, guitarist Valentin Goidinger and bassist Alexander Matheis started their project “GMC” in 2021. Supported by their “unsuspected” musicians, they form a 13-member band that transforms the duo’s written compositions into audible music. Together they have now released their debut album “Tales Of The Unknown”. The mixture of modern jazz, world music and experimental rock music creates pieces that are captivating, exciting but also enchanting.
