Köhldorfer's compositional work takes center stage, with generous space being created for rousing improvisations. This dynamic is supported by drummer Harald Tanschek and bassist Martin Heinzle (Gina Schwarz makes a guest appearance on three tracks), an all-star lineup that not only interprets his compositions virtuoso, but is also the guitarist's solo sparring partner with playfulness and sensitivity. Melodies, odd-meter grooves and elaborate arrangements characterize the pieces in this production.
