Album: New Beginnings

NEW BEGINNINGS is the 2nd album by Martin Iaies, Argentine guitarist based in Austria since 2019. It features the stellar presence of British saxophonist Julian Argüelles, as well as Austrian drummer Andreas Reisenhofer and Serbian double bassist Miloš Čolović. The novelty of the album is based on the essence of the songs, which have roots not so much in jazz as in other genres such as rock or Latin American music, but converge in a powerful and homogeneous album with all the distinctive elements of jazz: improvisation, a very interesting rhythmic variety and a great mastery of harmony. In these 8 original compositions Iaies ratifies his ability as a composer and Argüelles, Čolović and Reisenhofer complete a solid and powerful combo.
